Runner Chicks Speak Out
I love Runner Chicks!
Being a part of an all female running group was just what I needed to get my fitness on track. Being part of the group made me feel more accountable for my running and I was able to meet some amazing women. Runner Chicks is organized into pace groups and I was able to find one that was perfect for me. I loved the sense of camaraderie and challenge. Overall it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone.
Thank you Kelly!
52 years young!
I woke up one morning and realized I was 50+ years old, 50+ lbs overweight, and my blood pressure was nearing 50+ points too high. I had to do something. My daughter had met Kelly and said she and a friend were going to try out Runner Chicks…I said “why not?”
Now I can tell you “why yes!” It’s FUN! I’m off the couch, running with a great group of women a couple times a week. It is as much a social event as a work-out. I joined thinking the commitment would “make me go” but found I come because I really want to, it’s FUN. I’m down 50 lbs, my blood pressure is below normal, I’m still over 50…but I’m the one waiting for the Grandkids can catch up. I started the group with running a complete 5k as the goal. Now I look at a 5k as a 2 or 3 times a week “maintenance” run when I’m not training up for the next half marathon.
It sounds like a cliche, but Runner Chicks really has changed my life. I come every session, not because I can’t train on my own, but because I don’t want to. Kelly’s motto is “it’s more fun to run with girlfriends” and it really is true, the miles just slip by and before you know it, you’re done…looking forward to the next run.
I highly recommend trying out Runner Chicks Training club. Be it the 5k intro, the 10k or the half marathon training, you’ll be surprised just what you can do. Kelly and all the girls are so encouraging and supportive, it’s a joy to be part of this fabulous group of women. Plus…it’s Fun! (I might have already mentioned that, but really…it is)
Thanks again Kelly,
It really is more fun to run with girlfriends!
